Diabetes Canada is excited to announce our online 50/50 fundraiser in support of Manitobans living with diabetes.
Every Action Makes a Difference this Diabetes Awareness Month.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month, a time to support the nearly 11.7 million Canadians affected by this disease. Since the discovery of insulin in 1920, there have been important strides and key advances in mapping and understanding diabetes and its complications. Insulin is a game-changer for those living with diabetes. However, it is not a cure. To honour the legacy of Banting, Best, Collip and Macleod, we invite you to take action to End Diabetes by purchasing your 50/50 raffle ticket(s).
In Manitoba there are approximately 412,000 people living with diabetes, prediabetes or undiagnosed. Funds raised will directly support Camp Briardale, D-Camps program for children living with type 1 diabetes and diabetes research.
We all play a role in helping to end diabetes. This November, take action now and help Canadians with diabetes live free of the effects of this disease.
