Field to Fork

Join us for Field to Fork, an engaging one-day agricultural experience bringing together residents, producers, businesses, students and local ag leaders to explore and celebrate the vital role agriculture plays in our region.

This unique event offers an opportunity to go beyond the grocery store shelf and connect directly with the people, businesses, and operations that make our local food system thrive. Through expert presentations, informative booths, one-on-one networking opportunities, product sampling, and guided farm tours, participants will gain valuable insight into how food is grown, raised, and brought to our communities.

Whether you are interested in learning more about local food production, supporting local businesses, exploring agricultural career opportunities, or strengthening connections within the agricultural sector, Field to Fork offers something for everyone.

The day begins with presentations from industry experts, including Jess Goodwin, who will discuss farmer wellness and succession planning, and Dr. Cynthia Neudoerffer of Food Matters Manitoba.

Attendees will then have the opportunity to visit exhibitor booths, meet local producers and entrepreneurs, sample products, and learn more about regional agriculture and ag-adjacent businesses and services.

Participants are encouraged to stroll down to the library between 11 & 2 to experience our local library’s farmer’s market and stop for a bite at a local eatery!

After lunch, participants will experience agriculture firsthand through guided tours of local operations, including a livestock farm, specialty flower farm, and a grain farm operation (tentatively). Transportation options include self-driving (maps to be provided) and limited bus seating!
