TERM – ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT The Municipality of Russell Binscarth is seeking a motivated and organized Administrative Assistant for a term of 15-18 months.Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the successful candidate will provide administrative, clerical and light accounting to support municipal operations including reception, correspondence, records management, data entry and excellent customer service. MUNICIPALITY OF RUSSELL BINSCARTH
POSITION: Temporary Administrative Assistant (full-time, 37.5 hrs/week)
SUPERVISOR: Assistant Chief Administrative Officer
TERM: 15-18 months
DATE REVISED: May 27, 2025
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Assistant CAO, the Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact at the Municipal Office and assists ratepayers by phone or in person with any inquiry, payment, invoice, receipt or complaint. In addition to providing clerical and administrative support to the Administration Office Staff and other municipal departments as required.
DUTIES:
- To greet and assist the public with in-person or telephone inquiries
- Accept, process and enter payments and invoices accurately
- Direct calls and take messages
- Perform exact and efficient data entry
- Submit work orders with internal system as required
- To contribute to and maintain a respectful, courteous and safe work environment.
- To meet performance criteria concerning operations.
- To perform his/her duties at the highest level possible.
- To be subject to a semi-annual performance evaluation.
- To deal with the public in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
- To work within the policies and guidelines of the Municipality of Russell Binscarth.
- Other duties as assigned

Degrees/Certificates/Licenses:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Accounting or financial software experience considered an asset
